1275 Cherryvale Road, Boulder CO
sitting quietly, doing nothing
spring comes, grass grows
by itself
- Basho
ancient pond
frog jumping in
splash
- Basho
a strange flower
for birds and butterflies
the autumn sky
- Basho
A thousand peaks covered with frozen snow
Ten thousand mountain paths, yet no sign of human beings
Everyday, only zazen
Sometimes the sound of snow blowing against the window
- Ryokan (translated by John Stevens)
