This six-day intensive is based on Japanese monastic practice and will include sitting meditation (zazen), walking meditation (kinhin), work period (samu), and interview with the teacher (dokusan). Participants will take turns preparing and serving meals, which will be done in traditional oryoki style. Practice will begin most days at 5:30 AM and continue through 8:30 PM. A detailed schedule will be available in late August. Suggested minimum donation to cover food and facilities costs is $120.
