Sesshin is an intensive practice period patterned after Japanese monastic practice. This sesshin will be held in observance of Rohatsu, the traditional day of the Buddha’s enlightenment. The schedule includes periods of sitting and walking meditation, a work period, and evening dharma talks. Meals are in the oryoki style, and participants take turns preparing food, serving meals, and cleaning up. A detailed schedule will be provided in late November.
A suggested donation of $20 per day, or $50, covers food and facility costs, but we do not want cost to limit participation. Please write to info@hakubai.org to save a spot or with any questions. Spaces are limited.
